Washington: The United States is weighing the possibility of providing Tomahawk long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine, but President Donald Trump has stated that he wants a clear understanding of how Kyiv plans to use them before any decision is made.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Monday, Trump said, “I want to know what they are going to do with them,” when asked whether the U.S. or NATO would supply the missiles. He expressed concern over escalating tensions and reiterated his call to end the Russia-Ukraine war, emphasizing that he does not want to see the conflict intensify further.

Ukraine has long requested long-range missiles capable of striking deep inside Russian territory to counter ongoing attacks. According to Reuters, Russia’s state nuclear energy company recently reported that a Ukrainian drone attempted to strike a nuclear power plant in the Voronezh region, near the Ukrainian border. The attack was unsuccessful and caused no damage, but it fueled Moscow’s accusations and heightened regional tensions.
